The Principal Andrew Fowler-Watt "Welcome to the brand new Trinity College Kandy web-site. I hope that it gives you a strong feeling of what this great school is actually like.

We have tried to cover as many areas of College life as possible, through text, photos and videos, whilst appreciating that nothing can adequately replace an actual visit to the school. Visitors are always warmly welcomed at Trinity College"

TRINITY VALUES

respect. compassion. self-discipline. fairness. honesty. integrity.

MISSION

Trinity’s mission is to provide the best all-round education for the boys in a caring, disciplined and inspiring environment. This includes academic studies, sports, the Arts and extra-curricular activities.

ETHOS

True to the principles of its Anglican founders, Trinity College has always endeavoured to instill and nurture qualities such as respect, compassion, self-discipline, fairness, honesty and integrity. As an Anglican school, but with children from many different religions, we believe that these virtues are valued not only by Christians, but by members of all faiths.

AIMS

Trinity College aims to produce the next generation of leaders in Sri Lanka. As such, boys should leave the school confident, articulate, well-balanced and able to think for themselves. They should be comfortable both in English and in their mother tongue. They should be ambitious and determined, yet sensitive to the needs of others. And they should be critical and creative thinkers, who are ready to make a positive difference to their country and to the world.

Our goal is to encourage every Trinitian to be part of the next generation of Leaders in Sri Lanka. Our boys achieve excellence through Teamwork, Collaboration and Leadership.

TEAMWORK

Boys are encouraged to be actively involved in a wide range of sports and extra-curricular programmes .

COLLABORATION

Boys work together regardless of race, religion or culture; they are involved with social programmes; and encouraged to treat everyone with respect.

LEADERSHIP

Trinitians are given the opportunity to develop their leadership skills and are encouraged to take full ownership of their lives.

WHAT TRINITIANS SAY ABOUT TRINITY COLLEGE

For me the Trinity Chapel, created by Fraser’s commitment, Gaster’s architectural design and the K.L.B.Tennekoon-led team of artisans, symbolizes the ethos of Trinity - rooted in the bedrock of indigenous tradition, tolerant of diversity and exposed to winds of change. As a scholarship holder in a private fee-levying school Trinity taught me that elitism in society can neither be bought nor bequeathed: it is earned through talent and hard work. Generations of Trinitians have leavened our country in all spheres. They were patriotic citizens with a sensitive social conscience; humbled by their inclusive value-based Trinity experience sharing it with the less privileged.

At Trinity, I have had my best highs and the occasional low like many others who walked the portals of this hallowed institution. Being humble at victory and having courage and character in difficult times was the best lesson Trinity ever taught me. When I look at Trinity, I do not see factions within the school. I do not see separations between arts and sciences, sports and academia I see blurred lines , I see overlaps , I see one SCHOOL …… People will never leave Trinity and Trinity will never leave us…… and for that I’m grateful. Look to the end or Consider the outcome (Respice Finem)
